Using the SurveyMonkey Power-Up
The SurveyMonkey Power-Up allows you to quickly search for and attach your surveys to cards. You can then see up-to-date statistics about the survey directly on the card, and other members can take the survey from within Trello.
Enabling the Power-Up
To enable the Power-Up, open the board menu on the right side of the page, select the Power-Ups menu option, and then click the "Enable" button next to the SurveyMonkey Power-Up.
Authenticating with SurveyMonkey
Once the Power-Up is enabled for the board, each individual user will need to authenticate their SurveyMonkey account from within Trello. To do that, open up a card and click the SurveyMonkey button in the Power-Ups section on the back of the card.
A popup window will open. Click "Authorize" to allow your SurveyMonkey account to access Trello.
If you have multiple SurveyMonkey accounts, make sure to link your preferred account. Select "Use Another Account" in case you need to switch accounts.
Using the Power-Up
You can access the Power-Up from the back of the card by clicking the SurveyMonkey button in the Power-Up section. From there, select which survey you'd like to add to your card.
When you select a survey from the list, you will be prompted to select a web collector for the survey to attach if there is more than one available for the survey. If there is exactly one web collector available, then this collector will be automatically used and attached. If there are no web collectors available for the survey you have selected, we will attach a link to the survey, but will not be able to show the "Take Survey" button.
After you've added the survey you'll see the number of questions, pages, and responses included in the survey and (if applicable) you'll also see information on the response volume. At this point, "Response Volume" will only show responses received within the last 7 days.
Note: for other members of your team to view your survey results and data in Trello, you will need a SurveyMonkey Enterprise account.
Below those stats (if a web collector link is available in SurveyMonkey) you'll see a link that will let you take the actual survey and another link, "Analyze Results", that will open the survey in SurveyMonkey directly where you can analyze the results or edit the survey.
To take a survey from within the card, click on the "Take Survey" link below the attached survey. A popup window will open and you're ready to get started.
Here an example that shows how that can be done with just a few steps.
Once results have been collected, they'll be automatically reflected on the back of the card.
To remove a survey, click the "Remove..." link at the top of the respective survey section.
Disabling the Power-Up
To disable the authorization with your SurveyMonkey account, open the Power-Ups menu on the right side of the board. Then click the gear icon and select "Remove Personal Settings". From there, select the option to clear data.
You can disable the Power-Up for the board by opening the Power-Ups menu and selecting the Disable button.
Disabling the Power-Up will not cause any data loss. It will change the formatting of the links in the card to be the same as any other attached links.
